Marlowe & Pine sits where the Anders River bends around a stand of old-growth fir, ninety minutes northeast of Seattle and a world away from it. What began in the 1940s as a ranger outpost for the surrounding forest service land has been rebuilt, room by room, into a fifty-room lodge — restored timber, wood-fired heat, and a kitchen that runs on what's in season within fifty miles. We're not a resort with a hundred amenities. We're a small luxury hotel with a very good sense of direction: our concierge team has hiked the trails, fished the runs, and eaten at the roadside stand you'd otherwise drive past.

From Pine Rooms tucked into the original lodge to freestanding Ridge Cottages with their own wood stoves, every room looks out on the river, the ridge, or the trees — never a parking lot. Each comes with a gas or wood-burning fireplace, a soaking tub or oversized rain shower, and a mini-bar stocked with snacks all from the Pacific Northwest.

Marlowe & Pine is roughly 90 minutes (78 miles) northeast of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by car, and about 40 minutes from the town of Concrete along the Anders River road. Complimentary parking and EV charging are available on-site; a private car service can be arranged through the concierge for guests arriving without a vehicle.
